Casey Stubbs – Founder & CEO of Online Marketing Services

Casey Stubbs became interested in the stock market whilst in his teens, and has made trading his career.

What’s your story?

I started getting excited about the stock market when I was 16 years old. My dad showed me how it was possible to make money buying stocks. Ever since that day I have been interested in the markets and have been learning trading.

What excites you most about your industry?

The Trading Industry is an exciting industry. There is new technology with crypto entering the markets a few years ago. Plus with the addition of zero commission brokerages more young people are getting involved than ever before.

What drives you in business to push beyond what other people consider normal?

I think it is my personality, I have always had a success and do not fail attitude. Not sure how it came into me but it has always been there. I just try to fan it and keep the flames lit.

I do love to see my training help other people learn new skills, which is always to hear of customer success stories.

What have been the most useful skills you have learnt and applied in your journey?

  • I am a visionary who is great at starting things, with fast execution.
  • I am a self-starter who is not afraid to dive in and learn what needs to be done.
  • I am good at communicating and being patient with people.
  • I am dependable and faithful, and have the perseverance to get through tough times.
  • I am a hard worker who is always pushing ahead to accomplish goals.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

Cut your losses fast and ride your wins for the maximum profit; this works in business and also trading.

Who inspires you?

I get inspired by people who start out with nothing and keep pushing until they finally breakthrough.

I enjoy the movie Rocky. Rocky was a nobody who got a chance and worked hard and didn’t quit and then he came out a winner and a new person.

What have you learnt recently that blew you away?

I’ve learned that by simply being kind to people you can help teach and impact them in a massive way.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently? :

This list is long 🙂

1. I would simplify and not do too many things.
2. I would be more consistent.
3. I would be more narrow-focused.

How do you unwind?

I unwind by going into the woods. I love to hike and spend time in the woods. Last summer I did a 70-mile hike in the laurel highlands hiking trail.

What is a major mindset change, belief shift or ‘ah ha’ moment that you’ve experienced in relation to your business?

That I can get more done by doing less. By focusing on fewer things.

I can get more done by slowing down.

I think more and plan better and therefore make a lot more progress.

This is an interesting question this is a business interview so I feel like I want to give a good business book here but then I couldn’t say everybody.

So I will answer like this.

A business book every business person should read is 80-20 Sales and Marketing by Perry Marshall

A book that everyone should read is the Bible.
