If I was starting my business today from scratch, the biggest change I would make would be to find a way to reduce operating costs. When I first started out, I was all about investing and I bought unnecessary items. But after I learned about the best way to run a business, I created my current business to operate in a way where no investments are made unless there is a sale. The exception is for my monthly operating costs, which are minimal because it is an online business. Some investors invest no matter what, but I would do my best to reduce operating costs as much as possible to increase profits.
