The truth can set us free, but it can bind us, too. It all depends on how we interpret it. Lying is okay, I think, if it makes another person feel good. Example: That dress you’re wearing looks fantastic! Meanwhile, you’re thinking, ugh. So what? I’d rather brighten someone’s day with a cheerful lie than a soul-crushing truth.
