My highlight of the year was when I met my publicist, who has directed me toward earned media opportunities. Similar to dealing with people, it is important to understand the difference between paid vs. organic relationships (business and otherwise) and to understand that anything organic, regardless of its relation, will have a longer lasting impact. Anything paid for can be considered forced engagement and, therefore, will end sooner. This is why I always emphasize that everything in life must be achieved through natural means.
