After years of making money for others, Marja Harmer decided to make money by teaching others how to make money for themselves.

What’s your story?

  • Born in The Netherlands
  • Grew up in Canada
  • 1st job shoe sales age 16, top in sales in the first 3 months across the country
  • Career in Decorating, top 5 % in 250 store consistently
  • Financial planner Top 10% out of 4600 sales force consistently
  • Invested in Real Estate, down to 149 doors
  • Now Coach on Sales & Mindset, I love sales so it so easy to teach to others, I have studied mindset for a long time, even before I knew I was. All above were straight commission.

What excites you most about your industry?

To be able to coach people to achieve far more money than they have ever dreamed was possible. That gives me satisfaction, while making a great income, it is not work, it’s pleasure. My last client went from 60,000 in 2020, to being on track to earn $300,000.00. In the 1st 4 weeks she earned $30,000.00 My course Value Based Sales & Mindset, runs for 12 weeks.

What drives you in business to push beyond what other people consider normal?

I love it. I have a need to see people succeed in their business. I am always studying, to improve and grow.

I am an expert Salesperson, which works for every career.
I am always open to sharing my skills with others, now I get paid for it.

Last but not least earning a very good income, by sharing my knowledge so others can do the same.

What have been the most useful skills you have learnt and applied in your journey?

I listen, ask questions, I repeat the answers back, then close.

I have a Script on exactly what I have to say, so clients can close 10/10.

I hang with friends who also like to grow & enjoy growing their business.

I’m in a reading club.

I’m in a mastermind.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

Always be working with a coach, a great coach, never stop. Working with a coach inspires me to move forward, look at things in a different perspective. Learning things that can help clients. I can’t expect clients to invest in me if I am not investing in me.

Who inspires you?

Doing what I love (Sales & Mindset) I have done it most of my life in different careers, helping the sales people I worked with, now I get paid for it.

Yes it has changed my behavior, I’m calmer, more open than ever, I refuse to listen or deal with drama.

What have you learnt recently that blew you away?

Value Your Sales and Mindset coach focusing on financial planners

My program works for Financial Advisors, Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, Finding Real Estate Investors, I believe helps all industries.

I have coached for many many years, but now it to a whole higher level. It can only go up.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?

I went through many obstacles along the way, and figured out how to keep going forward. All the hardships were worth it, as it made the the person I am today. It was not good while it was happening but I can now see how it helped.

You need to develop perseverance, a great attitude, learn to make a decision, have an action plan then implement the plan, adjust as needed along the way. Most importantly you need to believe in your self.

How do you unwind?

Read, listen to mindset videos, TV, I watch one show daily, this one helps me relax and shuts my mind completely off, sometimes I come up with great ideas.

I walk daily, I just started back to doing yoga. I meet with old friends for lunch once in awhile so then no talk about business. golf, quilt, we use to go to AZ for the winter, until covid, looking forward going back.

What is a major mindset change, belief shift or ‘ah ha’ moment that you’ve experienced in relation to your business?

Realizing I already have the knowledge to help others and get paid for it.
Realizing I believe in myself, anything is possible, as long as I believe and truly feel it is what I want.
Realizing that folks were always coming to my office for my advice even my superiors (that was a “ah ha” moment).
