What’s your story?

I have a very diversified set of expertise, knowledge and skills which allowed me to always generate great revenue and profitability growth since my career started in 5 different companies. These include large PLCs, major corporations, as well as my own businesses in various industries, catering to both B2B and B2C markets.

I am passionate about creating meaningful value and generating high-quality revenue for a sustainable future. I have a strong affinity for innovation and enjoy exploring new approaches to business that disrupt markets and create alternative solutions through blue ocean strategies.

What excites you most about your industry?

From now on, particularly in the insurance sector, as the Chief Business Development Officer, I am thrilled about the changes in our market and the global economic trends. These developments have paved the way for new projects aimed at creating products that promote risk reduction and resilience, considering the emergence of new risks. Moreover, they present tremendous opportunities to support the growth of small and medium-sized businesses and sustain large ones.

I strongly believe that this role carries a greater responsibility towards society and the economy as a whole, beyond just achieving our company’s objectives. It is about growing with a genuine impact, not solely focused on revenue generation.

What drives you in your career to push beyond what other people consider normal?

Witnessing the tangible results and the actual impact of my actions on others brings out the best in me and fuels my upward trajectory.

Acknowledging the achievements of others requires much less effort compared to my own self-satisfaction with the outcomes. As a perfectionist, I am not easily content with ordinary accomplishments, and this constant drive propels me to strive for greater heights and surpass expectations.

What have been the most useful skills you have learnt and applied in your journey?

Actually knowing my numbers and being always prepared has paid off very well in building the right network, and proving what I am made of.

Leveraging my financial literacy, which is rooted in my background and experience, has always positioned me above the competition.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

Treat yourself as a company with a grand vision and strategic objectives. Continuously adapt and stay one step ahead of yourself to actualize your vision.

Who inspires you?

HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is a visionary leader driven to accomplish far more than what benefits the people. He collaborates with them to achieve the seemingly impossible in a manner that makes it appear effortless.

What have you learnt recently that blew you away?

The Disruptive Strategy Executive Education program offered by Harvard Business School has truly amazed me with its insights into innovative approaches to conducting business. It has expanded my perspective on identifying the essential tasks to be accomplished and finding better ways to serve customers efficiently at a reduced cost.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?

I would have focused on my Executive presence much earlier and would have capitalized more on my network earlier.

How do you unwind?

By seeing all pending jobs done and realizing the outcomes of the strategic plans.

This keeps me calm and unwinds me well.

What is a major mindset change, belief shift or ‘ah ha’ moment that you’ve experienced in relation to your career?

How to focus on serving the purpose rather than just completing tasks, and how to maintain a proactive and prepared network.
