For me, the following list is some of my self-care strategies.

Physical activity.

Mindfulness: Practices such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or TRE helps calm the mind and reduce stress.

Socializing: Spending time with friends and family or engaging in social activities can improve your mood and take your mind off business-related stress.

Reading: Losing yourself in a good book can be a form of escapism and relaxation.

Digital Detox: Taking a break from electronic devices, especially work emails, can help create a clear boundary between work time and personal time.

Nature: Spending time in nature, whether it’s a walk in a park or a hike in the woods, can have a calming effect.

Spa Day: Treating yourself to a day at the spa or even a simple at-home self-care routine can provide relaxation.

Welcome to my journey. I am Sharmin Prince, born and raised by one of the most resilient women in Georgetown, Guyana. I migrated to the United States at age 33 and have been here for the last 23 years. With that same resilience, I am determined to conquer the struggles and hurdles life has thrown my way. My creativity has enabled me to use these obstacles to drive me towards my goals and climb mountains to overcome hurdles blocking my path. This experience has given me a unique opportunity to help others. I am proud to say that I am an active listener, humanitarian, leader, and empath. I've developed my skills through education and work to get to where I am today, and I am dedicated to helping others every day.
