What’s your story?

I am a high profile international award winning publicist, the Founder and Managing Director of Lamourie Media Inc. a Universal Women’s Network 2020 Woman of Inspiration Winner for the Women In Media award and the author of the upcoming book GET REPPED – Build Your Brand With Effective Public and Media Relations. Featured in The Hollywood Times and Rolling Stone, I learned how to write a press release to help free an innocent man from death row – a 19 year campaign leading to his release and eventually my international profile working across industries serving small businesses and creatives.

What excites you most about your industry?

The ability to help people get their voices heard.

What drives you in business to push beyond what other people consider normal?

The drive to prove what I can achieve and better my families position and bring others along with me!

What have been the most useful skills you have learnt and applied in your journey?

Communication and bravery.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

Never never give up.

Who inspires you?

Jimmy Dennis who spent 25 years innocent on death row, was freed and now is a rising RnB artist using his voice to speak out for justice and to make beautiful news together.

What have you learnt recently that blew you away?

Bad thing – 215 aboriginal children from the last century found buried under a residential school in Canada. Good thing – major project I am involved in in Hollywood I can’t talk about yet.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?

Start a business much earlier and waste less time working for others.

How do you unwind?

Hot bath at 2 am, sometimes a glass of wine or legal joint in Canada or Cali!

What is a major mindset change, belief shift or ‘ah ha’ moment that you’ve experienced in relation to your business?

When I suddenly realized I don’t have to keep doing a job I hate working for others, that I could use skills I built in unpaid work of the heart, volunteer work to help businesses, creatives, people with a story.
