What are your top 3 achievements in the past year? by Mark de Jong

Mark de Jong

Three, in order of how unexpected they were. Least surprising: passing my Mokuroku third dan in Tai Ki Ken, years of practice finally showing. More significant: my first advisory board seat, the first time my judgement was asked for somewhere I don’t run the show. Most unexpected: starting a podcast, since I’m usually the one who prefers listening to other people’s stories over telling my own. Different as they sound, all three are the same thing: putting myself forward in rooms I don’t control.
