First off, there are many amazing brands in the baby industry especially those created to help tackle issues to help other parents! However, I do feel there are also a big part of the baby industry that is quite wasteful, often filled with products that have a one-time use, are not practical or gimmicky. With so many choices these days, it may confuse buyers or even mislead new parents about its actual use. We believe the goal really is to provide worry-free and multi-purpose products to help parents in their new journey as this allows them to enjoy more time with their little one.
About Amy Tang
Amy Tang is the co-founder of The Wee Bean, an organic baby brand, which focuses on practical essentials and gifts for parents. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, BC, she left her role as Talent Acquisition Manager at Fidelity International when she had her first baby to spend more time with her family. As a result of her own baby's severe eczema and the lack of high quality, accessible organic products at the time, she created her own starting from breathable swaddles made from natural fibres. Since then, she has expanded their collection to bibs, towels, blankets, fair-trade dolls and even masks as part of their charity initiative with JLife Foundation. Additionally, a portion of all proceeds goes towards Angels for Children to provide financial aid to expectant mothers with HIV. Her designs is very much influenced by her love for HK and food as she continues to experience the world through the lens of her two kids and alongside her husband, whom she lives with in the vibrant city of Hong Kong.
