What coming technological advancement do you expect to have the biggest impact on your business? by Yonason Goldson

Bread and circuses. Ironically, the tech trend that may prove most disruptive — in the classic sense of the word — is a reboot from the Roman Empire. Just as the nobility of Rome kept their citizens anesthetized by creating the entertainment industry and the entitlement culture, an increasingly absorptive metaverse threatens to erode truly meaningful and satisfying human interaction.

One response is a “technology Sabbath” — unplugging one day a week. Another hopeful innovation is the Freedom app, which disciplines us when we can’t discipline ourselves. The best solution, however, is to rediscover genuine human connection as the source of true happiness.
