What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? by Yamilette Cano

The BEST advice I have ever got and learned is CLOSURE.✨

The ability to compartmentalize adverse outcomes into the past and truly see them as necessary steps on the way to achieving a positive outcome, not just of a particular goal, but for life in general.

I first learned about closure during my amazing career in ballet through simple things like learning to do one full pirouette and then two, three, four, five pirouettes. Closure isn’t always easy, but it is necessary to move on to the next exciting chapter in your life.

Closure doesn’t mean that you have to forget the past; it just means that you can’t move on if you stay stuck in the past. How do you drive forward down the highway if you’re only looking in the rearview mirror?

We will all experience closure in our lives; it may be small or big, but it’s essential to take steps to gain closure so you can move forward.
