What misconception do people outside of your industry hold about it? by Anand Narayan

A common misconception about Private Equity (PE) is that it primarily focuses on short-term gains at the expense of the acquired companies. Many outsiders believe PE firms cut costs to boost immediate financial performance, leading to long-term detriment. However, the reality is that most PE investments aim to drive growth and operational improvements, enhancing the overall value of companies. The goal is often to implement strategic changes that ensure the businesses are more competitive and sustainable in the long run, benefiting stakeholders, including employees and the broader economy.
