One common misconception is that writers are born with an inherent writing talent. While some people may have a natural flair for language or storytelling, the truth is that developing strong writing skills demands consistent dedication and hard work.

Writing is a craft that can be honed and perfected through practice, perseverance, and continuous learning. Just like any other skill, writing requires time, patience, and dedication to develop. By immersing oneself in the world of words, exploring different writing styles, and seeking feedback from others, aspiring writers can refine their abilities and grow into confident storytellers.

Julie is a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit junkie; literacy advocate, spouse to a retired Air Force airman, and mama who is simply making it through the day by the grace of caffeine and Jesus. She has a broadcast journalism and criminal justice degree from the University of Maryland in College Park.
