What misconception do people outside of your industry hold about it? by Uldis Karlovs-Karlovskis

I just met a CTO who said “DevOps? Oh, I hate them! They are sending me some marketing bs all the time!” – this was new, and I decided not to confront him. Sure, some companies provide DevOps tools and services and work on their marketing but it’s a rather small number. Instead, the typical misconception is that DevOps provides infrastructure. Sure, it’s part of how to achieve its goals – speed to market, innovation and cost reduction. Something that boards often don’t get in the report from the CEO and should be asking for more data on it.
