In a recent LinkedIn post, Hiten Shah discusses the evolving practical applications of Artificial Intelligence, specifically how business operators can leverage AI to create personalized daily briefs from their connected tools.

Shah highlights a significant shift in AI’s capabilities, noting that what was once impractical is now achievable in a matter of minutes. He critiques the common approach of treating AI merely as a chat interface, advocating instead for a more integrated use of AI to consolidate information into a coherent, personalized brief.

“Ten months ago, building a truly personalized daily brief from your connected tools wasn’t really practical. Now you can do it in about 15 minutes. This changes what’s possible.”

The Shift from Chatting to Briefing with AI

According to Hiten Shah, many individuals are underutilizing AI by simply pasting data into a chat window. He argues that a higher-leverage strategy involves transforming these connections into a clean, unified brief that aligns with individual workflows and priorities. This approach, Shah suggests, moves beyond basic conversational AI to a more functional, workflow-centric application.

Shah elaborates on this distinction:

“A lot of people are still treating AI like a chat window. They paste in a calendar or a transcript and stop there. The higher-leverage move is turning those same connectors into one clean brief that actually matches how you work and what you care about.”

Building a Practical AI Brief

Shah announced a live session aimed at demonstrating the practical setup of such a brief using Claude Cowork. The session is designed to guide participants through the automation possibilities, customization options, and the process of making the brief uniquely theirs, rather than a generic output.

He emphasizes the tangible outcome for attendees:

“You’ll leave with a working version plus a simple approach you can use on any recurring workflow.”

This initiative is particularly targeted at “operators who already have tools connected but are mostly just chatting with the AI,” Shah explains. He identifies a common pain point: the time spent daily piecing together context, suggesting that his method offers a valuable alternative for those still investing significant time in manual consolidation.

Identifying Personal Workflow Needs

Before diving into the technical aspects of building the brief, Hiten Shah prompts readers to consider key questions that will inform the customization process. He poses three critical questions to help individuals define what information is most valuable to them first thing in the morning:

  • What do you usually have FOMO about at work?
  • What recurring admin do you wish you could hand off?
  • What would you actually want to know first thing in the morning?

Shah asserts that the clarity of these answers directly correlates with the usefulness of the resulting AI-generated brief. By understanding these personal needs, operators can more effectively configure their AI tools to deliver precisely the information required to start their day productively.

The session was scheduled for Friday, May 22, at 10 am PT.
