Most of the industry treats trauma as a deficit to fix before success can happen. I disagree. Trauma is a high-performance operating system that needs integration, not correction. While the field chases “safety” and “regulation” often softening a leader’s edge in the process, I see the hyper-vigilance and pattern recognition trauma builds as elite strategic assets. Rather than healing back to “normal” I help clients optimise those survival instincts into high-stakes foresight. Trauma isn’t a hurdle to clear. It’s an untapped source of resilience most people are too afraid to leverage.
