A common myth I often hear is that the oil and gas industry is on the verge of disappearing entirely. While renewable energy is advancing rapidly, the reality is that oil and gas will remain integral to the global economy for some time to come. These resources continue to underpin transportation, manufacturing, and energy systems worldwide, and the infrastructure supporting them cannot be replaced overnight. I doubt there will ever be a moment when the entire world economy runs without them. Instead, the industry is evolving, whereby it is balancing traditional resources with new technologies, to support a more sustainable future.
