What is your fondest memory of something that happened in your business? by Dr. Robert Mitchom III

Dr. Robert Mitchom III

My fondest memory in business was the moment I revisited the June 1975 issue of Black Enterprise and connected my advisory work to my grandfather’s enterprise.

For much of my career, I viewed my ambition in financial strategy and board advisory as an individual journey. Seeing his achievements in print reshaped that perspective completely.

Building Mitchom Consulting Advisors stopped feeling like an isolated career milestone. It became a clear continuation of a legacy of operational leadership and community impact.

That shift changed how I enter every boardroom: carrying forward a standard set long before my own career began.
