Amy Tang is the co-founder of The Wee Bean, an organic baby brand, which focuses on practical essentials and gifts for parents. Their award-winning collection organic swaddles, bibs, onesies and towels, that are kind to baby's delicate skin and to our planet earth. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, BC, she left her role as Talent Acquisition Manager at Fidelity International when she had her first baby to spend more time with her family. As a result of her own baby's severe eczema and the lack of high quality, accessible organic products at the time, she created her own starting from breathable swaddles made from natural fibres. Since then, she has expanded their collection to bibs, towels, blankets, fair-trade dolls and even masks as part of their charity initiative with JLife Foundation. Additionally, a portion of all proceeds goes towards Angels for Children to provide financial aid to expectant mothers with HIV. Being awarded the 2020 HK Smart Design Green Award, she is also an advocate for sustainable design and production as well as plastic-free packaging. Her designs is very much influenced by her love for HK and food as she continues to experience the world through the lens of her two kids and alongside her husband, whom she lives with in the vibrant city of Hong Kong.
