What do you wish your prospects would understand before they talk to you? by Robert Common

Robert Common

I wish prospects understood that behavioural health is not about quick fixes or symptom suppression. Healing and sustainable change require time, safety, and a willingness to work with complexity rather than override it. Progress is often uneven, and setbacks are part of the process, not a failure of treatment. From an organisational perspective, high quality care depends on strong governance, ethical decision making, and systems that prioritise long term outcomes over short term reassurance. Conversations are most productive when there is openness to evidence, realism about risk, and respect for the human factors that sit beneath behaviour, performance, and recovery.
