What skill have you developed since leaving formal education that has been most useful in your career? by Anu Verma

Anu Verma

The most useful skill I’ve developed since leaving formal education is self-awareness. Early in my career, I focused heavily on achievement, working hard and proving myself. Over time, I learned to recognise my patterns, understand how I respond under pressure and become more intentional about my decisions. That has transformed how I lead, build businesses, manage relationships and handle challenges. Self-awareness has also taught me when to listen, when to adapt, when to set boundaries and, importantly, when to trust my own judgement.
