For most entrepreneurs, time for relaxation feels like a waste. However, at some point, I realised that all work and no rest is a recipe for early departure. Therefore, I ensured we would disappear to some quiet resort during convenient school holidays every year, preferably with a golf course nearby. So, a round of golf in the morning, a relaxed family lunch in the afternoon and some family games later in the day would make a perfect day. I always carried a good business book for that time when the kids were wasting excess energy running around. A perfect working day would be one where I could tick off all the items on my to-do list and leave the office ‘on time’.
