I’ve made so many mistakes but the biggest was probably when I kept on investing money into a business that was failing. At the time it felt like the right decision as we were optimistic that the market would rebound, but despite several pivots we decided to wind down the company and lost a lot of money in the process.
Looking back, these personal losses could have been avoided if I had an experienced CFO in the business or raised external capital instead.
